Like many of you I am in the space between Christmas and the New Year waiting for the stroke of midnight to declare a new beginning in 2025. Rather than compile of list of resolutions for 2025 I prefer to focus on how I landed after the past 365 days.
I am grateful for health and the ability to have done so much this past year. There was a stretch that my partner had to undergo open heart surgery, and his recovery was my only focus. I am grateful for the skilled surgeon and all the doctors and nurses that were part of his recovery. Without our health, we have nothing. I carry this gratitude into 2025 and hope for that blessing to continue.
Gratitude again comes in the form of family. I am grateful for my children finding partners in life that enrich them and make them smile, laugh and feel loved. I carry this gratitude into 2025 and ask for continued blessings for my family.
My professional career also pivoted this past year. After being in a leadership role for five years, I found myself back to the role of full-time realtor. I have been licensed for 23 years and got to revive my passion of selling real estate in yet another shift in the industry. For me, it was just another way to create excellence in my career. If the 2008 market didn’t scare me away, protecting my worth in 2024 was not going to make me run and scream. In fact, I created a vision board walking into 2024, and it is on the wall in my home office. In fact, it is hanging next to me as I type this. Even as a grown woman, there is nothing wrong with setting goals. I love to read what I hoped for on this vision board. I have not had a chance to make one for the new year, but I will share from this one and carry this vision into 2025 because my vision remains consistent. I also think the exercise of writing your aspirations or goals also makes it happen so after reading this, I encourage you to do the same. Let’s get into it!
