The next few days…

Vacationing on a Greek island for a month becomes an easy lifestyle if you embrace it. That is what we did following the big Panayiri. We woke up the next day and prepared to head back to Faros. It was nice to know that a boat was actually waiting for us at the molo “pier” to get all of us back to our little patch of paradise. Of course the first order of business once we arrived back was to sit at the Taverna for 4 hours. Eventually we made it to the house where we relaxed and watched the sunset and then back to the Taverna until we closed it. Let me say this. It is not about sitting around and drinking. It is about sharing time with others and just laughing and sharing stories, maybe some dancing in between and just existing together. There were no cell phones for distractions or “posting” everything we did. This is why I journaled and recorded so much of this wonderful memory. On this particular night, in the late night hours that brought us to the next day we ended our gathering by walking over to the molo and just laying down to stare at the most beautiful star packed sky. There were about 8 of us. As we laid there marveling at what we saw above we just talked about any thoughts that came to our mind. We ended this long day with a poem.

“As you sit on the molo, looking at your neighbors golo, you are doing it solo.”
